H I S T O R Y

A Legacy of Success and Innovation

After starting his career running a systems integration firm and then working seven years as a Wall Street analyst covering enterprise software and communications infrastructure companies, David Rothschild founded Rothschild Capital Partners and launched a technology fund in 1997. The first fund portfolio included a mix of public equities and venture investments leveraging a long-term innovation lens — framed by a thesis that capital markets investors often overreact to short-term news and underestimate the impact of disruptive innovation.

In 2001, Rothschild Capital Partners broadened its offerings and took on investment and operations responsibility for Rothschild Capital Management, the successor to The Rothschild Company, which had managed client assets since 1972.
