“Even the most savvy individuals may feel overwhelmed while navigating the stormy waters of a divorce. We work alongside you to prepare and guide you toward a comfortable financial outcome.”
- Margo Cook, CFP®, CDFA®, Divorce Wealth Planning Team

“No divorce is the same, and we adapt our process to the singular needs of our clients and their counsel. If working alongside an attorney, we learn about their process and preferences, and we collaborate in cohesive partnership to support our client.”
- John Dame, Esq., CDFA®, Divorce Wealth Planning Team

Margo Cook leads the Wealth and Engagement Planning division at Rothschild Capital Partners, where she oversees financial planning, investment management, and advisory services for individuals and families navigating complex life transitions. She works collaboratively with clients and their professional teams to translate complexity into clarity, with a particular focus on divorce, business transitions, and purpose-driven wealth.
Margo brings more than a decade of experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families, combining rigorous financial analysis with a deep understanding of the emotional and practical realities that shape financial decision-making. Her work regularly involves cash flow modeling, retirement and pension analysis, complex compensation, and long-term scenario planning, as well as close collaboration with attorneys in negotiation, mediation, and litigation. She also leads clients through post-divorce implementation and long-term wealth planning, ensuring continuity between settlement outcomes and real-life financial stability.
A piece of Margo’s practice centers on identifying and addressing problematic financial dynamics, including economic abuse. She has collaborated with a leading researcher in the field and helped develop practical frameworks used by attorneys and advisors to recognize patterns of coercive financial behavior and evaluate their impact. She speaks nationally to attorneys, judges, and multidisciplinary professionals on wealth planning, economic abuse, and the financial realities facing modern families.
Before joining Rothschild Capital Partners in 2023, Margo was a Partner and Director of Financial Planning at an advisory firm in Maryland, where she helped build the firm’s planning practice and served on its investment committee. Earlier in her career, she worked in professional fundraising and philanthropy, including as Director of Giving at a major hospital foundation, and she remains deeply engaged in philanthropic strategy and governance.
